Our team at Browman Development Company (“BDC”) has a passion for place making and vibrant built-environments that drive both our long term vision and daily efforts.

Browman Development Company

For over 30 years BDC has been active in the development and operation of high quality commercial assets that add to the existing fabric of their surroundings. In the past 10 years BDC has shifted from a focus on the ground up development of regional best-in-class shopping centers to the repositioning of existing commercial assets, and in the past 5 years added multi-family investment and development to our project portfolio.

In addition to operating our existing portfolio, we are actively seeking new acquisition opportunities that draw on our skill set of taking on challenging redevelopments to bring under-utilized assets to their highest and best purpose and value.

Our Executive Team represents over 100 years of collective experience in managing complex development projects throughout the Western US spanning such disciplines as entitlements, construction, leasing, contract negotiations, and property management.

This experience encompasses the development or redevelopment of over 4 million square feet of high-quality real estate valued at over $1 Billion. This has included over 40 regional and neighborhood shopping centers, and the entitlement of nearly 1,000 housing units in both horizontally and vertically mixed-use settings.

The long term quality of our projects is the result of a patience approach instilled by founding principle and current President Darryl Browman. We pride ourselves at our discipline in working to find the right tenant or partner for each project, evidenced by the phased build out at many of our projects.

This distinction as well as our hands on approach to in-house management is what allows these projects to stand the test of time, and has resulted in high tenant occupancy portfolio wide and project curb appeal that we at BDC as well as the communities we operate in can both be proud of.
